Buy a Mac at Simply and get our theft recovery software, including in-store installation, free. It’s that simple.

If you purchased a Mac from Simply Computing between July 1st, 2010 and April 9th, 2012, and don’t have it installed, you can download the software below.

If you did not purchase your Mac from Simply Computing, or you purchased before July 1, 2010, you can purchase Simply’s theft recovery software for $39.99 plus tax from any Simply Computing store. We’ll install it for you if you bring your Mac, or you can download the software after your purchase by visiting this page and entering your invoice number below.

Important Notes

Once installed, there is no configuration necessary. All information needed is built into the application.

In order for the computer to be tracked, it must be online. If you have a password on your main account (which is a very good idea) you should create a guest account so that your data is safe but a potential thief using the computer is able to get online.

Creating a Guest Account

1. Open System Preferences from the  (Apple) menu at the top-left of your screen.
2. Under System, click on Accounts
3. Unlock the padlock with your user password to make changes.
4. Click on Guest Account
5. Check “Allow guests to log in to this computer”.
